Evelin Carolina Enamorado-Cisnado Homicide Death, Charlotte NC

Charlotte, North Carolina — Police say a DoorDash delivery driver’s report of a foul odor led to the discovery of a woman’s body in a tragic domestic incident.

Officers responding to a welfare check at a residence on March 10 found the body of 23-year-old Evelin Carolina Enamorado-Cisnado inside a closet, wrapped in blankets and towels. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities arrested 23-year-old Lhis Birito Costa in connection with the killing. Court documents indicate Costa and Enamorado-Cisnado had previously dated, and prosecutors say Costa allegedly shot the victim after learning she was in a relationship with someone else. Costa has been charged with murder and appeared in court Thursday.

Family members described Enamorado-Cisnado as a kind and gentle young woman. Her aunt has requested donations to help repatriate her body to Honduras, saying in a Facebook post that the loss has left the family devastated.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing. The family is expected to release obituary, memorial, funeral, and visitation details in the coming days. Pending those details, not all information is fully confirmed, and this report may be updated as new information becomes available.
