Gael Salto Fernandez Death Obituary Killed in Tragic Highway 46 Crash Wasco
Gael Salto Fernandez, 20, of Wasco, California, tragically died on March 14, 2026, following a head-on collision along Highway 46 near Kurt Road in Kern County. Traveling eastbound in his 2011 Toyota Corolla, Gael’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2024 Toyota Prius driven by 36-year-old Stanley Carbajal of Paso Robles. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash and asks anyone with information to come forward.
