Gael Salto Fernandez, 20, of Wasco, California, tragically died on March 14, 2026, following a head-on collision along Highway 46 near Kurt Road in Kern County. Traveling eastbound in his 2011 Toyota Corolla, Gael’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2024 Toyota Prius driven by 36-year-old Stanley Carbajal of Paso Robles.
