Jasper Ryan Richardson Obituary, Abbeville Death: In Remembrance Of Cherish Resident
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jasper Ryan Richardson, who departed this life on March 15, 2026, at just six years old. Born on November 6, 2019, in Abbeville, Louisiana, Jasper was a joyful and vibrant child whose bright smile and laughter touched everyone around him.
A visitation will be held on March 27, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. In honor of Jasper’s cheerful personality, family and friends are encouraged to wear bright, colorful clothing. Children are especially invited to wear yellow, reflecting his favorite color and sunny spirit.
Jasper was full of life and energy. He loved playing soccer, eagerly running across the field in pursuit of the ball. He had a natural curiosity and especially enjoyed math. Outdoors, he found endless joy in imaginative play—whether with his action figures, pretending to be a T-Rex, or mimicking the speed of Sonic the Hedgehog, one of his favorite characters.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kali Monteaux; stepfather, Kendrick Gaspard; his brothers, Kolson and Asher Gaspard; stepbrother, Brantley; stepsisters, Ainsley and Adeline; his grandmothers, Tammy Hebert and Janice Richardson; step paternal grandparents, Derick and Crystal Conner; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jasper was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth R. Monteaux, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Steve Richardson; and stepmother, Kasie Richardson.
Though his life was brief, Jasper’s warmth, laughter, and loving spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a bright light in the lives of his family and community.
