On a quiet Sunday night along the Southern State Parkway in Hempstead, New York, a devastating wrong-way crash claimed the lives of an elderly couple and left multiple others injured.

Authorities say the collision occurred just after 10:15 p.m. on March 15, when a westbound SUV driven by 36-year-old Diana Kutateladze struck another vehicle before crossing the median into oncoming traffic.
